The KYC Verification Requirement
In India, almost every financial process—from opening a bank account to applying for a loan or completing mutual fund KYC—requires submitting your Aadhaar and PAN cards. Often, application portals only provide a single upload button for "Identity Proof," leaving applicants confused about how to upload two separate documents.
The Solution: Merging Your Identity Documents
The standard practice is to merge both documents into a single PDF file. However, because these documents contain highly sensitive personal data (your Aadhaar number, Date of Birth, and PAN), you must be extremely careful about which tools you use to merge them.
How to Merge Them Securely
- Take Clear Photos: Take a photo of the front and back of your Aadhaar card, and the front of your PAN card. Ensure there is no glare.
- Convert to PDF (If needed): If your photos are in JPG format, use our JPG to PDF tool to convert them first.
- Use a Specialized Tool: We built a dedicated PAN & Aadhaar PDF Merger tool exactly for this purpose.
- Arrange the Order: Drag and drop the Aadhaar file first, followed by the PAN card. Click "Merge PDFs".
Why You Shouldn't Use Random Converters
Identity theft is a serious risk. When you upload your Aadhaar and PAN to a random free PDF site, you are handing over your complete identity to a third-party server. Always verify that the tool uses a Zero Retention Policy or in-memory processing before uploading government IDs.
